“ Hubby & I LOVE LOVE this place!! I was here back in August 2020 with my sister on a vacation from IL during the pandemic... Yes the pandemic! You wouldn't of known back then in FL... We sat outside and REALLY enjoyed! Fast Forward 5 years... I now live in FL! SO Hubby & I came to Clearwater on Christmas Day & decided to go here, I remember it being good... YEP .. 5 YRS LATER. DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Coffee is just perfect, food was amazing still! Also came here for my birthday in March... Planning to go again on Easter (if open) If ever in Clearwater by Pier 60.... YOU MUST GO HERE!! STAFF IS 5 STAR... FOOD IS 5 STAR... AMBIANCE IS 5 STAR!!!! Keep up the amazing work! ”
“ I have eaten here twice this week during my stay, and this is definitely my favorite spot out of many that I tried. If I lived here this would be my morning breakfast and coffee spot daily. All of the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. My eggs, toast, and potatoes were cooked perfectly each time I visited, and the coffee is just how I like it. You definitely want to try this place out if you are looking for an authentic diner. They are located on the beach, not north or south, just the beach . Go support this local business the next time you are in Clearwater. You will not regret it. Make this three times this week. John and his crew were amazing on my last visit here today. If you want good food and good coffee in the presence of good people, please go support this local restaurant. Hope to see these fine people again next year. ”
“ This is our favorite breakfast spot in Clearwater! We were back to visit family and it was just as good as I remembered. Pancakes are my son's favorite. I love the Greek omelet and home fries. Daughter liked the egg sandwich, but was bigger than she could finish. Portions are generous. Coffee is basic, but hot and fresh. The servers and cooks are all fun characters that make you feel important. Can't wait to go back! ”
“ This is a lovely secret spot for breakfast!! The coffee is nice and hot and the service is impeccable!! Also don't forget to enjoy the eggs Benny and get a pancake with the coconut syrup, my husband and I can't ever eat it enough before we have to head home from vacation!! We usually stay at the Hilton so it's an extra easy walk and they are so friendly here!! Take all my money, especially when you're kind and you have such good service, it's hard to find these days!! “ Incredible and beachy! The Beach Shanty is definitely the jewel of Clearwater Beach. The atmosphere was exactly what you expect from a beach getaway restaurant with food to match. The breakfast was delicious and our family made it our favorite breakfast spot for our entire Spring Break. Everyday we were greeted by John and his staff with friendliness, smiles and the speediest of service. From the restaurants decor to the excellent food, my family has a new favorite reason to visit Clearwater Beach. Highly recommend that you take a dip into the Beach Shanty to start your day off before fun in the sun. Thank you John and staff for making our trip memorable and yummy. ”
“ If you're lucky enough to get Daneen as your server, you're going to have a great meal and be wonderfully hosted! She made us feel right at home here in Clearwater with her quick wit and southern spunk. Our food was all very good, a couple egg sammies, a salad and a Philly Omelet (my delicious dish). My daughter asked if we can return tomorrow because the other menu options looked great, too! Highly recommend Beach Shanty Cafe! **update** we went back the next day, and it was amazinger! “ Immediately when I walked in I got good vibes from this place. They gave us my favorite jam and a guy gave us AAA batteries for my toothbrush, as he overheard us talking about needing them. It was also the best pancake I've ever had. 5 stars. Coming back tomorrow ”
